I used that wiring color code chart when I installed a new CD player last year. I also bought a honda audio harness connector and soldered the car side into the van. then I used the other side to create a harness adapter to the plug on the back of the CD unit. The Westies have a common rear negative wire for the two rear speakers, and not fixing it may lead to a very short life for modern CD/stereo units. It is possible to run new wiring following the old routing, which requires removing passenger side trim above the doors and fishing down the A pillar. The new unit makes great tunes, for sure. But because my Westy is a diesel, I can't really hear it. -- Alan Felder Austin TX 82 Diesel Westy
