I spent a couple of days at the beach some years ago overhauling my worn-out old droopy mirror. Disassembled, cleaned, adjusted, lubricated. It was better but not good. Sometimes they just get past the point of normal adjustment. Last week I adjusted one in the normal expected way...just a turn of the wrench and it was all better. WOW! I never thought of the rubber washer trick and I am sure going to keep that one in my trick bag. Sounds good!
