Subject: '89 Wolfsburg wind whistle, front left
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all,

I've just put this van on the road after getting it some months ago. I need help finding an air leak that produces an annoying whistle starting at about 30 mph. It sounds like it is coming from front left corner at the bottom of the windshield. It will nearly stop by opening the passanger window about an inch (the drivers window doesn't open). Opening or closing the heater air vent controls doesn't seem to make a difference. The windshield seal is tight. I checked all the wiring boots where the wiring enters behind and above the headlight. I checked the door seal by closing it on a piece of paper and it seems to grip it all along the seal. I'm out of ideas of where this whistle is coming from, any suggestions would appreciated.

Thanks for any help, a great list,

Ray
