I recently had to get a new smart phone for work. Even though it offers Swype technology, <http://swypeinc.com/> I find it's a pain to write an email. I can now see how one could get in the habit of "your" for "you're". Especially if there's any kind of word suggestion in action.

On a flight home from said work, as soon as the "ok" was given by the captain, a younger person sitting beside me broke out her phone. Furious texting ensued. Her phone had a full physical qwerty keyboard. The speed at which she texted was blistering. I enquired if that type of keyboard was better than a touch screen for texting etc. With head buried in her phone, emphatic "yes" was mumbled. Even then, given how fast she was typing, I can't help but think that it's totally "normal" to skip an apostrophe here and there.

Not saying it's write, er, right. Just, like, ya know, what-ever? ;)

Neil.
