My issue was with a note inside the description of the single relay installation procedure, not with the procedure itself. I think the single relay is of benefit and in fact does more good than the description says.

The single relay method is not as good as the two relay method IMHO but is better than the stock wiring. The two relay method protects the hi/lo switch as well as the ignition switch and headlight switch. If the bulbs are changed to higher wattage this could be an even more important advantage of the two relay method, since all three switches are protected from the heavy current instead of just the weaker two as with the single relay. This is just a matter of degree of protection. The use of the term "weaker two" is based solely on the fact that those two fail much more often than the hi/lo selector switch. All three are known to fail.

The discussion of the separate circuit for flashing the lights is only speculation for how the error in the description notes came about.
