If you have other spare DK trannies that are good.. far better to put one of those in now.. rather than take a chance on completely ruining your current trans. unless you don't care if you render it non-rebuildable .. core value is perhaps $ 400. If you run it too far, too long ...it could be worth zip possibly. DK's ...btw........are highly sought after by all 82 diesel vanagon owners. ......those that don't already have one that is.
