good thinkin' there.

I would expect one to be pretty large..just for safety's sake. but they are saying the clear one ( obviously a better choice ..as far as being able to tell how dirty/clogged it might be ) is only 2.75 inches long. I'd want it as large as a can size air filter myself.

'bypass' layout is not a bad idea either.

might get you both ... just branch with a T ....one branch goes straight though as normal, the other through the filter ....that way some junk is trapped, but it can't ever clog up and block coolant flow much. Scott turbovans.com
