Hi Eddie.. was it flashing from being too hot, or from the pressure bottle level being low ?

what year is it ? early ones are a little odd in the red LED department.

Did you check the coolant level ? What was the temp needle showing when the light was flashing ?

One doesn't usually especially think of the thermostat because ... usually when they fail it's in the 'too cool' direction.

'dim' ? usually it's pretty bright, being an LED.

It always helps to say year, model, and version. there are several kinds of vanagons.

Scott

daughter got in the vanagon this evening and saw a dim flashing red light on the heat gauge. The van seems to be running fine though, and i installed a new thermostat 2 years ago, and I don't think it should go bad that fast. Any suggestions. thanks
