Flange and hub both mean the same thing.

'Flange' is the more accurate term to me. or 'wheel mounting flange'.. then there's no doubt.

Gonna check the other side ? I sure hope so. Got the large breaker bar and socket and cheater pipe to get it tight ? They belong on there super tight.. Holy cow.. 369 ft. lbs - page 46.6 in Bentley.

It is likely that the stub axle and flange splines got worn some during the period it had to be running with the nut properly tightened. The flange should be a very smooth and 'no slop' fit onto the stub axle.

( does anyone really take the wheel lug nuts to 123 ft lbs ? ..that is really, really tight. )
