the riser nuts on the stock set up are exposed by cut outs in the stock pressboard.

I laid out and drilled the holes on the floor using (as Mark said) any locating dimples and double checked by comparing to my '82 westy. No wood subfloor down at this point. I did not a slight difference in width at the rear seat area between the '82 westy and the '86 syncro tin top. The rear bench is pressed against the kitchen cabinets which are pressed against the drivers side wall so the discrepancy was noted at the pass. side of the rear seat, just at the door. The earlier west rear seats have a curved profile that matches the side of the van at this region, the later westies have a straight cut edge plus a curved metal filler plate. The latter, I think, makes it easier to get a good fit between the seat and the sidewall.

The GL floor foam is removed.
