If I think it's fuel delivery or fuel pressure... I just drive the van with a fuel pressure gauge were I can see it.

I suspect it's not fuel. or ignition. Fuel injection.. you have not mentioned oxygen sensor .. or Temp Sensor II. my own 87 Wolfsburg went through a series of heebie-geebies recently .. Went through a series of cutting out that was fixed with another distributor ..

but then again ...very poor throttle response. I unplug the not-that-old looking oxygen sensor . I have a steadily running van. I get home...put on a new oxygen sensor ...... and I have 'smooth running' van with good power.

think more about the fuel injection is my suggestion. fuel starvation doesn't fit your symptom quite .. wrong mixture does though .. or weak mixture ... try disconnecting the 02 sensor as a quick test.

cap and rotor don't fit your symptom .............usually. I see many bosch cap and rotors with many thousands of miles on them and they're working fine. Check the plugs .. consider spark plug wires.. but your symptom fits 'fuel injection.'
