Yep that what we want. Lets add two more things to fail. A low cost fuel pressure gauge when it breaks will be a really fire starter. As for a coolant pressure gauge yep good confirmation of a leak once the steaming starts.

Seriously I think some folks are just getting downright silly with instrumentation.

I've collected from somewhere two photos - one marked FPG and the other marked H2O. I would like to pursue this in my own van, but I've questions. For a permanent installation in the engine compartment, what gauge should I get for the fuel pressure, and as for the H2O gauge what should I use. Can these be just any pressure gauge like from Lowes Hardware or the like? And as much as anything - where would I install that water gauge. I can only see the face of the gauge - marked 0 thru 25 - but cannot see the plumbing connection, so I don't really know where it hooks in.

If anyone has any ideas as to how best to get this done, I would appreciate hearing them.
