well , if you want to 'get more oil pressure' by keeping the oil cooler.. a simple 'patch' cheater way is put in a cooler thermostat.

it doesn't really 'fix' anything .. it just masks the real issue.

OP is primarily a function of oil viscosity ....oil temp, and bearing oil clearance.

I don't especially believe in weak oil pumps....but some people get some improvement with a new one..

heck..put in straight 50 W.

15psi hot at say 2,000 rpm is not 'that bad' .. not that good either. at idle rpm , hot .......that's pretty good. many engines idle hot at 5psi even.

I'd be pretty happy with 10psi at a hot idle generally.. as long as high rpm OP is say 35 or so.

and .. with a high mileage 2.1 waterboxer engine you're on borrowed time anyway if there's lowish oil pressure.
