But First -- Can anyone tell us if the oil pan for the van's sloped mounting
angle is different from a rabbit mounted diesel oil pan?
                             (remember I'm a Novice VagOwner. Use full words
for me so I understand.)

Second --  I found a pro welder who TIGs aluminum every day.  I hope he can
evaluate my pan tonight.
Welding may be preferred if this is such a rare part.   Keeps Jim's pan in
circulation.
                       (I do like the color of his oil pan. It matches my
Yellow Submarine.)
