The short answer is yes, and no.


Yes you can put the 85 cluster as is into a 90 van.
No you can't put the 90 cluster as is into an 85 van.


The important difference between them is how they control the oil
pressure warning light.


The longer answer is that they are very similar and simple to modify in
cases where mods are needed for things to work properly. The 85 cluster
oil light works in 85-91 year vans but the 90 cluster oil light only
works in 86-91 vans, unless modified, easy to do.
