Nik, Just wondering who did the work for you? With your # below in the 571 area code, sounds like it might be the mid Atlantic region (which is where I am). I'm shopping around for body work/painting myself. Was thinking to take it on myself, but given the amount of seem rust and other small bodywork issues, I think it's well beyond my skill level and time. They actually got up all the glue that was on the floor, I delivered it to them with the interior removed. I had steel bumpers and the black side mirrors and I wanted to put fiberglass bumpers and power mirrors on. They repaired and painted the fiberglass bumper and the carat type exterior mirrors. They also installed all new rubber that I supplied. I originally had to pay for the glass removal and install but at the end they decided to pick up the cost. The windows I supplied were freshly tinted and they accidentally scratched one of the windows. They were going to have the window re-tinted but instead to avoid that hassle they offered to pay for the Towing. I had the engine removed and they paid to have it towed from my friend's house to the shop [45 miles] and back to his house after it was finished. I should say this was the first vanagon they ever did and i did have to take it back to them twice to repaint something small or fix something but that was no big deal. B Feddish is correct. I now have a freshly painted vanagon that is worth less than what it cost to paint. However, I love my 87 and really don't plan on selling it. > > > > > Nik Maravich > 571-296-9817 > > -l________l- > _\_\_ | _/_/_/ > |o|_|_ยบ_|_|o| > ,[],,,,,,,,,,,,[], |
