I'm finishing a top-to-bottom refurb of a 1983.5 Adventurewagen here in Portland, Oregon, which I'm looking to sell. (Please forgive the cross-posting if you're seeing this multiple times; but if you are, congrats - you're on my favorite lists!) Everything fixable, testable and/or upgrade-able has been done. I'm happy to send full details to anyone interested in a purchase. Biggest features: Subaru 2.2l engine (w/103K documented miles) Lockable differential w/dash switch on a professionally rebuilt transmission (1yr/12K warranty) New paint, refinished woodwork, new vinyl interior, captain's chairs w/arms Tachometer & digital clock dash pod from later Vanagon Catalina awning, fiberglass bumper, new batteries (both) & isolator, new stove All high top windows & sunroof removed & re-sealed New flooring, new interior/exterior lights, new stereo & speakers, magnetic screens, etc. etc. etc. Looking for $18K (or best close offer). Have perhaps two weeks worth of work left (re-keying all the locks, awning mounts & other stuff). She has no name yet, so you get the honor of the christening, too. I will get on the stick to finish her more quickly if I have a waiting buyer! David Jaffe mdhiker at yahoo |
