...it is the other way around...In the late 80s journeymen tradesmen were drawing in the mid-$20/hr wages...Now, if work is even available, the wages are around $15/hr for the same guy-same work. (according to Government sites with tables of average trade wages as found on Google)

So in that scenario, the cost of Westies has risen dramatically.....

A worker today would have to work 25% more hours just to save up the '80s sum.....and then work more...... At least another 125% more hours to buy that same Westie....and of course there'd be 25 more years of use, wear and tear on the Westie (and on the Worker...ask me how I know)
