In my impetuous youth I used to drive my '84 Westy pretty routinely at around 85 on the highway in New England. Of course the engine needed rebuilding earlier than otherwise, but day-to-day it didn't complain. I'm less impetuous now and seldom take my '89 White Star above 65.
