another thing to consider is that the larger overall wheel/tire combo resulting in lower revs/mile ma be ok for hwy travel, it does affect the G gear on syncros and depending on the torque curve of the engine involved, can be a detriment when crawling over rough terrain.

I found the G gear to be very useful negotiating steep ditches, slowly and carefully.
