One thing we might want to think about is whether we (you) will just collect the stories and put them together more or less as given, with just editing for grammar, spelling and simple errors in logic; or if we (you) might want to take another approach and create a narrative which contains the elements of various peoples stories. A possible example of the latter: In California there were seventeen young men who bought splittie VW's and most of them were in decent running condition. Of these seventeen, two actually assembled their Westies from parts from the junk yard. I suppose the answers to these sorts of questions will become evident when the submissions start rolling in. I'm mulling over some possibilities myself. Annie, what sort of Vanagon are you mixed up with?
