I'm with Mark--let's bury this Miata tire site for good. It has come up over the last N years, where N might be as large as 10. It is ALWAYS pointed out that the revs/mile are not accurate. Search the archives to see.

I checked 3-4 tires and the diameter of the tire seems to match what the manufacturer states, but the revs/mile are always ~20 fewer.

The Miata.net site state: > If you won't do anything else, at least read the MX-5 Miata > Forum FAQ. If you post a question that is already answered in the > FAQ, you will be teased, ridiculed, laughed at, and probably won't > feel too comfortable on the forum.

Could not we take the same approach about their tire calculator? Read OUR archives and you'll see that it has been pointed out over quite a few years that it is a worthless site to get revs per mile for Vanagon tires.

Again, let's just bury the Miata site and not try to argue that it.... Whatever.

I'm going to repost this messagte with a subject "Miata tire calculator." That will surely stop this nonsense. In the future anybody (ANYBODY) will find this message before they propose the Miata site as useful. ;-)

Richard
