My van is named Annabell. I use to have a baby sitter and she had this old dodge (I think) car and to me it had charm and it was very much a female as the car was unpredicible. Some times it would just stop in the middle of traffic for no reason.

Of course mine is pretty much not in the catergory of dieing in traffic but, as she is over twenty three years old and I just liked that name, that is why her name is what it is lol

Well, here we are again on a Fryday. I was wondering how many of us have named our Vans, along with the what and why. I know from posts that Ralph has a "Velma" and Pete has an " Aardvark" and a "JoesVan". So here goes, the story of my 91 Doka. Once upon a time in a driveway in Annandale, VA I had a 71 Single Cab, a 81 Bus, and a 2001 Bus. I was feeling a bit too rich so I decided in a fit of largess to clear my driveway for the benefit of the less fortunate and purchase something new. That night I had a dream. Now some plains Native American groups have the "Legend of the White Buffalo." It seems that you have this vision of a White Buffalo and it means something (I hope I'm not getting too technical here). So I dreamt I saw a white DoKa with the sides down. Do you know if you look at a Doka with all gates down, with the massive front end and small tight rear end it does have the shape of a buffalo? So the next day I found a white 91 DoKa and before long I had four (4) decades of Type II in my over-crowded driveway. So I made three people very happy with their new vans and I had my vision truck. ed- with the 91 DoKa, "Bison"; because getting the nomenclature correct is important.
