RE: My post two days ago about the flickering oil pressure light on my 2.1L WBX

First, thanks to all who responded to my initial inquiry. You were all right on, pressure sensor. BTW, for those that asked about or mentioned oil grade I'm running 15/50 Mobil 1. All fixed, no more flickering. First, my mechanic found that the wire to the high pressure sensor was disconnected. And it was quite dirty, has probably been that way for some time, probably several years. Reconnected and still the same problem. So we replaced both oil pressure sensors (and changed oil and filter, it was due anyway) and problem is gone. Long test drive and no flickering hot or cold, at speed or at idle. BTW, we checked the oil pressure while we were at it, 60 PSI at idle. That's got to be good for an engine with 162,000 + miles on it. Again, thanks for all the responses.
