Subject: The conclusion of my new tire episode...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

This afternoon I took the van for a test drive after mounting the Hankook RAO8s on my stock front 14" wheels. I already mounted the Hakka C rears.. in the 185 14 size.

A very very noticeable upgrade to the drive-ability of my van. It is almost like a different vehicle that way it handles with the proper tires, front and rear, at the proper inflation (I used today..51psi rear and 43psi front, just slightly more than the door sticker says)

It tracks very straight with no deviation, no need to correct, no need to do anything but steer around the corners. Very light steering effort also. No bump steering, no wandering, even a moderate wind, I almost had to see the flags and trees to tell it was there. Wow!

I have had this van now for 3+ years with all kinds of tires...about 65k miles worth now...I guess I have never had the right ones on both ends at the same time, or something...but it was so fun to drive, such a 'different critter' that my little test drive turned into a 150 mile cruise up the Columbia river Gorge and over to the Deschutes River, around a nice long backroad loop....just for fun and the pure pleasure of driving the van....
