Hopefully those 215/65's are reinforced or XL rated. Otherwise they are at the lower limit of acceptable capacity for the Vanagon. Especially if you subscribe to the 10% de-rate when using passenger car tires on light trucks.

I swapped my steel 14" rims for 15" Alloys with 215/65 tires. The 10/10 calculator shows my revs/mi as 800. My speedometer says 820. So I guess my speed will show as 97.5 percent of my actual speed. So when my speedometer shows 65, I'm actually doing 67.
