That's what the thing in the back if your Westy is for. First thing you learn about Vanagons is has better facilities than most cheap hotels. Doesn't sound like you know your Vanagon very well. Better try to figure out that bed thing in the back before contemplating a TDI swap. You know what the older people say, "You have to crawl before you cam walk. You have to walk before you can run." And before you run with that TDI idea, you better check the strength of your wallet. ;-)
