assuming it's a 91 waterboxer Doka.. ( engine type is coded in the VIN btw.....whether gas or diesel, from the factory ) at the base of the oil breather tower.. on the aluminum case, look for "MV' ...which would be a 2.1 waterboxer engine. two letters followed by numbers. If DH .........not likely at all, but that would be a 1.9 wbxr. you can look up an VW engine code on the internet quiet easily. POV - point of view. - previously owned vehcile ...?
