My TB switch was the cause of my surging idle issue on my 85 (single switch). It turned out that the PO had the plugs for the Aux. Air Reg. and the TB switch reversed. Took me a while to figure out why I didn't have a cold start and a surging idle. Reversing those plugs caused 3 TB switches to blow before it was caught, and those switches are hard to come by I'm sure you know. Runs fine now.

Hey folks,

My 85 does the same. Look for Idle hunting. Scott (turbovans) wrote a long piece that addresses the possible causes of this on both the 1.9 and 2.1wbrx. the name on the tread subject line was: *What Do I Put In The Sugject Line?* ** It is not a new issue, but more like a very common one for the WBXRs ** I can not tell you how that worked out for me since I have not placed it into effect yet.

Short story is: TB switch Vacuums Idle staibalizer Timming
