My California plate simply reads:

'SYNCRO'

Besides the "What does that stand for?" questions, I also get the "Oh you couldn't get the 'H' because that makes eight characters, eh?"

Most Vanagon guys typically say, "HOW THE F--- DID YOU MANAGE THAT?" Simple. Someone slipped up and was late renewing. I happen to be online trying to get '4 X 4 = 16'. I would have been better if I could get 'SYNCRO 16' since that's my Vanagon version. Unfortunately, the dreaded seven character limit got me again.
