>Looking for some advice as to whether or not importing vehicles from Canada or Europe I got my DoKa from Canada. First you need a letter from VW America stating what you need to comply with US standards. I had to TELL VW America because they got it wrong. You need the hand break light to display the word "Break", and the speedometer to display in MPH. Both are an easy fix if you got the parts to swap. Then, find out which customs place you are going through and call them and make sure they will be ready and know what they are doing. Doing this prep work will make crossing over easy, customs is open 24/7. I had temp tags for VA with me so I didn't need the Canadian temp tags.

Hope this helps: ed- driving with my lights on ALL the time because that's the way Canada does it. It makes sense.
