RE: Arizona Travels Buses By The Bridge (200+ VW Splities, Bays and Vanagons in one place) is 12-14 Jan in Lake Havasu if that works into your schedule. When you are in Seattle let us know, WetWesties has been known to throw a Brew Cruise to meet people passing through. As for a guide book to BLM camping good luck. I've never been able to find one. And the online info from BLM (and Forest Service) is on individual websites for each district. BLM areas all over Arizona, inquire locally. There is a lot of info in computer files on the Internet for use with mapping software like Streets & Trip or for loading into a GPS as POI files. That's what I've done on both my laptop and my GPS. The Benchmark atlases have a lot of good info in them on campiong locations and include most of the Forest Service campgrounds. Keep in mind that many of the smaller campgrounds are close that time of year. California State Parks ar $35 a night or higher, commercial RV parks are usually cheaper that time of year. State Parks along the coast in Oregon are all very good and reasonably priced. You'll find Go Westy interesting, actually impressive. You'll find Van Cafe warm, friendly, and a better ambiance :) And in case of mechanical problems lots of good shops around the area you talking about. Check with the lists and in Repair Sop Reviews at roadhaus.com .
