There are supposedly two Vanagons at two different pull-a-part locations in Atlanta- unfortunately, both went on the lots about a month ago when I wasn't paying attention. I ran over this afternoon to check the location closest to us, found the advertsed Vanagon and, as a bonus stumbled on an "unannounced" Bay Window. Both Vanny & Bay were pretty well picked over, but I managed to scarf a couple of decent looking wiper arms, one intact front marker/turn signal lens, and some of that miscellaneous trim & stuff that has a tendency to fall off. Geniuses these guys aint-, all T1-T3 models are listed as either Vanagon or Vanogan in their database, and it's not uncommon for them to occasionally sticker a 3rd generation Toyota HiAce as a VW. That one I'll never forget. Hottest day of the year, and the van as far from the parking lot as you could get. Downhill. George/ATL |
