Bus Depot shows both parts as applicable to the '82 aircooled engine. ETKA states 023 906 031 as the part number which Bus Depot lists as Super Beetle (1971 - 1979), Type 1 (1971 - 1978) and Type 4 (1970 - 1974), though other vendors show 023 906 031 as applying to the 80-83 Vanagons.

I'd expect either of the injectors you found would work.
