We in Alabama lost power for four—and for some seven or more—days back in the april tornadoes this year. The sky was fantastic, haven't seen the Milky Way here since I was a kid. Neighbors met neighbors and helped out. At least the weather was good, glad it wasn't in the winter like you experienced. I would have had wood heat to rely on, most people around here wouldn't. I had let my westy tank run out of propane, though. Thinks would have gone a lot easier if I had not.
