our 1989 California model 5 speed diesel (OEM) had an undercoating from the factory that was very thick and well stuck to the underside it also had this stuff under the paint on the bottom panel all around ... like a rock guard ... that stuff was amazingly tuff too .... gee I sure miss that van sniff sniff regards
