You can un plug the throttle switch to eliminate it as a possible problem. You have a mixture or timing issue. Check the O2 and temp 2 sensors for proper operation.

Hi to all,

I have this '86 van. The engine runs fine, idles well but it won't accelerate properly. It wants to die. Takes a few tries to have it accelerate. One thing I noticed, the idle switch is clicking off a little late, (the one under the Throttle Valve)

I have no idea what causes it. Anyone?

Zoltan
