Some good stuff why Diesels need special antifreezes. Most notable is that
the Waterboxer being a sleeve engine can also benefit from the Diesel
coolants. Most of the corrosion we see on the heads, the liners, and the
studs is due more to this cavitation erosion than actual rust.

I have been using prestone 50/50 longlife, expecting to change out about
every two years in my diesel westy.  I am wondering if going to a different
coolant will allow me to extend the change interval, or if the prestone is
good for longer than 2 years?
