Subject: Poptop replacement options and power mirror question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1
I know this has been discussed a number of times but I am Archives
challenged and my personal archives are inaccessible to me at this time.
We are looking at replacing the aging(slowly failing) original canvas on
our `87 Westy Syncro and the wife seems willing to spring for a new one
during our trip next month. This will of course require a day or two stop
somewhere but we have the time and can make that work. The real issue is
which replacement top to purchase. We definitely want three windows,
prefer one that looks original, are not worried too much about rain or wet
weather as what we call rain many places consider a dry day. I am leaning
toward the one that The Bus Depot offers for $399.00 but would like to hear
from any that have first hand experience either pro or con with it or other
similar style tops so we can finalize our decision and get it ordered.
Do you have to remove the interior door panels to take power mirrors off of
an `87 Westy? I am asking as I would like to get my LT mirrors on before
our trip but need to know how much time to allow for the job.
TIA
Mark in AK
