I drilled and redrilled & redrilled & redrilled with larger bits once until I was able to 'peel' the remaining bolt from the threads. Almost as scary as cutting away the bearing material with a dremel tool to remove the last of the pilot bearing from the crankshaft. Got that one thin enough to peel out too. Uncomfortable feeling.
