I put together a tool and successfully removed cylinder #4.

https://picasaweb.google.com/117786475013111516659/CylinderPuller?authkey=Gv1sRgCIzzwdXEs6uXywE

The device clamps down on the tabs on the cylinder then the piston is used to push them both out. A five foot cheater pipe was needed to turn the crank. The engine had 302,000. miles when I retired her. There was heavy black crud on the skirt keeping it from moving.

Unfortunately, the metal clips gave way trying to remove the #2 sleeve. I will replace them and try again.

Thanks for the support. Ken Lewis
