hey all .....You know those fuses that are a strip of metal on a diesel vanagon or Rabbit, for the glow plug circuit ... attached with two screws..? the fine article below says this about them -

"Because strip fuses require the use of tools for replacement they are therefore legally considered non-serviceable components for end-users."

'legally non-serviceable ..........guess we've been breaking the law all along, those of us with diesel VW's.

those diesel vanagon glow plug strip fuses can get hair line cracks btw.. not blow, just eventually crack from heat cycling.
