The skeleton Frank G. used to mount gauge cluster & other mods is original Vanagon stock. Nowadays, the problem is finding one that's intact. And, of course, the dodgy printed circuit is another weak link. I really didn't need for the thing to do anything other than what it was intended to do originally, with the exception of swapping out the Vanagon tach & face for one from a Jetta.
