Please, anyone using an EZ-Up....if you leave your camp....fold that thing up! They are lethal if they get blown away in a big wind......I've seen them break windshields, dent roofs and cause all kinds of havoc in a sudden thunderstorm or even a switch in the wind and a gust..... They are really powerful sails....tie one down to your cooler?....Uhhh, no...not good enough. I've seen them flailing through the pit area at racetracks with a couple of 5 gallon full fuel jugs swinging from the legs like explosive Bolos or something.

In my many years of camping I have seen perhaps 200 destroyed awnings, too....from being left deployed and having a big wind event take them out....No matter how calm it seems.....sometimes wind comes unexpectedly and if you are gone for a hike or a side trip...awning left up.....Bye bye awning....
