Well, a community.  Thanks to the help available here and on the Samba, our ’87 Westy is inspected and legally on the road again.  What began as a simple (!) exhaust replacement led me through welding, machine work, head removal and reinstall, coolant flushing and lots more.  With the help of the vendors, the Bentley, the “Ben-ley” (www.benplace.com) and the advice and encouragement of you folks, it’s finally, really, honest-to-gosh time to go campin’ again.   Stephen
