someone else on the list once mentioned replacing the clock with one from a Jetta. He said the clock emitted red rather than green light. I have contemplated off and on ever since trying to find a clock at a junk yard, from a Jetta or whatever. But instead, I bought a little clock for $3 from somewhere, and fastened it with the adhesive on its back to the dash top above the radio.
