I've run this exact setup on many Vanagons, Syncro & 2WD. It's a little over 7% bigger and actually works better than stock. Never had an issue with braking (and that includes coming down the Sierras from Tahoe). Acceleration is affected a bit, but not bad. I especially like the drop in RPMs at highway speed and in 3rd gear hill climbs. Additionally... this van has a 5 speed gear box which makes it even better!

Cheers,

Jeff

That's a tall tire. Be prepared for brake and gearing issues with stock engine, gearing. All will seem OK at first. Then you will realize the difficulty getting to top speeds, climbing hills etc.

What size?

I like raised white letters out.

Okay list,

Discount Tire has a $50 off special & BFG has a $50 Gift Card Rebate.

So... I'm putting on some BFG All Terrain T/A tires this weekend.

Now for the simple question:

"White letters facing out or in?"

Cheers,

Jeff
