Last weekend I took the family to Mt Cheaha in the Talladega National Forest, the highest point in the state at about half a mile. Incredible views and fall colors!

We stayed at my favorite "secret" campground at Lake Chinnabee--it was full for the first time I know of! A travel writer was there which won't help in the future, either : )

I was the second westy there, we were joined by a third who didn't stay because of lack of sites in the small box canyon. He is on the Vanagon list, thought I don't remember his name. Subie conversion. Shoutouts to all.

Ivory yellow, bronze, and Assuan brown. Nice fall colors to complement the trees, which were outrageously beautiful.

Jim
