This type of setup is big with off-roaders. The T2 transmissions are getting hard to find, and the buggy crowd is moving to Vanagon transmissions for their rigs.

Has anyone ever tried this? I know the cable shifted Jetta (2001) I owned shifted much nicer compared to the old Beetles, 71 Bus, 87 Vanagon and Mark 2 Jettas I've driven. Just asking, y know.
