I've been to Vegas about 75 times minimum, but never been to Valley of Fire. >>>>That's one of my favorite campgrounds .... EVER ... anywhere. Not so much for views, but the very interesting layout inside the much more interesting sandstone geology. You can be camped in a spot that cannot be seen by your neighbors. Very cool campground. I've used it a couple times on my way to/from Bootleg Canyon for mt. biking near Boulder.

Here's My Favorite Spot at Valley of Fire. It's worth the wait to let the folks leave that spent the previous night there. Usually around 10 AM. How Pretty, Private & Nice is that? :o) Sheltered from the wind lets you soak in the winter sun! Lots of climbing on the red rock too, with a view for miles & miles from the top. A great place to stop at on the way to BBTB or DV ( via Vegas :o) ! Pop Yer Top & Pop a Top Again !!! ;o) (we'll keep this place our little secret as well ) !!! ;o) John C... Yacolt, WA
